Plan a car or transfer from Kaohsiung, Zuoying, or Hengchun and settle the return first. Longpan involves an unlit, wind-exposed return to the vehicle; Xiaowan is a short trip from lodging.

Stay back from Longpan cliff edges. Xiaowan is evaluated for shore viewing only, never night swimming. A 24-hour parking or attraction listing cannot override a closure, typhoon, thunderstorm, long-wave, or tsunami warning.
