Checks before departure

The county publishes free year-round observation use and a no-camping boundary. Current county notice, air quality, and Road 41 status still control departure.

Opening window

The observation pad is described as free and year-round, subject to current notices and road conditions.

Reservation

No reservation is represented for ordinary pad use; events may have separate arrangements.

Transport

Drive from Napanee or Erinsville and arrive with low lights and a planned return along County Road 41.

Road and arrival

County Road 41 and Ontario 511 approach evidence must be current.

Protected-area rules

Use the site for observation only. Camping, bright lights, and unsupported overnight-stay claims are excluded.

Before you stargaze

• · Give your eyes about 10 minutes to adapt to the dark after arrival.
• · Keep flashlights and vehicle lights low for other stargazers.
• · Recheck ECCC warnings, representative AQHI or Info-Smog, wildfire smoke, cloud, wind, cold, heat, and the managing authority immediately before departure.
• · Verify the lawful arrival point, current park or site status, booking where required, actual road owner, fuel, services, and return separately from the sky score.
